Si Ma. Nicolette Vergara, mas kilala nga Colet, isa ka bantog nga miyembro sang BINI, ang kilala nga “Nation’s Girl Group” sang Pilipinas. Bilang main vocalist, lead dancer, kag lead rapper sang grupo, siya ginatawag nga “The Nation’s Ace” tungod sa iya kahusayan sa tanan nga aspeto.
Ma. Nicolette Vergara, better known as Colet, is a popular member of BINI, known as the “Nation’s Girl Group” of the Philippines. As the main vocalist, lead dancer, and lead rapper of the group, she is widely called “The Nation’s Ace” due to her excellence in various aspects.
Si Colet ang isa ka Visayan icon nga naghalin sa isa ka musically inclined mga family kag kilala sa iya masarangan nga vocal range, talento sa pag-compose sang mga kanta kag abilidad sa pagtukar sang mga instrumento pareho sang gitara, drums, kag piano. Nagadugang pa gid sa iya kasikat ang iya pagka-mabuot, prangka, kag funny nagahatag inspirasyon kag entertainment sa madamo nga fans.
Colet is a Visayan icon hailing from a musically inclined family. She has been recognized for her wide vocal range, talent in composing songs, and ability to play different instruments like the guitar, drums, and piano. She’s also well-known for being generous, frank, and funny, providing inspiration and entertainment for many fans.
A singing teacher’s perspective

(Note: Karen is not very familiar with Colet or BINI, but studied many videos of Colet’s raw, live singing from 2025 to present. She was also presented with the vocals of several other famous Filipino singers in Colet’s generation, for a fair comparison and reference.)
Colet’s voice feels like sunlight on strong earth: solid, resonant support underneath an agile, effortless upper range. As a holistic voice coach, I’d say her voice reflects integrated posture, open breathing, good technique, and clear emotional focus, which allow for both ease and impact.
Integrated posture means your whole body is aligned and working together so the voice can function freely and efficiently. In singing, that usually looks like a tall but flexible spine, neutral pelvis, free ribs, relaxed neck and shoulders, and grounded feet, so breathing, resonance, and expression can all coordinate instead of fighting each other.
But she can also get wonderfully gutsy in her approach and sing her heart out using mix or belt with a smooth, even tone on demand, a skill that doesn’t come so easily to the average pop singer. Her rare range shows that she has more colors in her vocal palette than her peers, which make her sound more vibrant.
Part of it is skill, part of it is taking care of one’s vocal health, part of it is what you’re born with. Colet is especially blessed in all three.

Her expertise was shaped by the tutelage of more than 15 esteemed singing teachers, including the late Roberta Davis, a voice professor at one of the world’s most prestigious music schools, Berklee College of Music.
